Mr.Jeya 2
Friday, June 30th, 2006…The most interesting and difficult assignment he used to give us was journal writing. He usually asked us to submit every Wednesday. After checking every journal, he would give his comments to the whole class. Something like, advices, personal stories, and also some sarcastic comments…but I like it. He is a man full of wisdom. Back to the journal writing, not all journals satisfied him and he would keep reminding us to read more so that we can be knowledgable individuals, not for the sake of As. I think, the best journal had been Saw’s and Wen Ter’s. It is a fact because their writings were always being credited. As he used to ask us to write the date, it is now my habit to write the date on every assignment I’ve done.
His main concern now is the attitude of students and their mentality to get As. At the end of the class, he would take some time to tell us his stories, and some advices; greet people that you know, and use ‘please’ whenever you want someone to help you. I am now learning to be a gentleman, but gosh, it sure is hard when you are all alone..
To me, Mr Jeya is not only my English teacher but also an educator. I hope and wish him happiness and health as a good man or woman deserves the best in his or her life…
